Mateus
Rosé

Mateus Rosé is a rosé with a very appealing and bright hue. On the whole, it is a fresh and seductive wine with fine and intense bouquet and all the joviality of young wines. In the mouth, it is a well-balanced and tempting wine, brilliantly complemented by a soft and slightly fizzy finish.

Serving suggestion:
Served chilled, Mateus Rosé is ideal as an aperitif, to accompany a refreshing moment in the day when the sunset anticipates relaxing, pleasurable and socialising moments, and whenever one is looking for a good alternative to a sparkling wine or even beer. Mateus Rosé also goes very well with light meals, several types of fish and seafood, white meat, grilled dishes and salads. Its unique characteristics make it also ideal with pasta and other Italian cuisine and to accompany magnificently several styles of Oriental cuisine – Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai. It should be served in a flute or in a tulip-shaped red-wine glass. Serve ideally between 5º-12ºC.

Mateus
White

Mateus White is a young wine with a citrus-like hue and fruity bouquet, with a fine acidity and well-balanced, lively and young in the mouth.

Serving suggestion:
Mateus White may be served as an aperitif or as a refreshment. It goes well with grilled fish and sea-food, salad and light meals in general. It should be served chilled in a white-wine glass, ideally at a temperature between 8º- 10º.
Quinta dos Carvalhais - Duque de Viseu
White - Dão DOC

Duque de Viseu Branco 2008 has a nice yellow citrus hue. Floral and ripe fruit aromas (pear and grapefruit) are harmoniously combined with mineral ones that give freshness to the wine. In the mouth it has a dense and enveloping structure that is finely balanced by acidity. Extremely well-matched slight hints of oak wood are also revealed, providing the wine with great aromatic complexity. Its freshness is also in evidence, a marking features of fine Dão white wines.

Serving suggestion:
Fresh, elegant and versatile, Duque de Viseu Branco 2008 is an excellent choice to go with a great variety of fish or sea-food dishes, as well as salads, pasta and all types of fowl and game-bird. However, it is also nice as an aperitif. It should be served chilled, between 10º - 12º C. Once open the wine reacts well to oxidation and may therefore be kept in a refrigerator for 1 to 2 days without hindrance to its quality.
Quinta dos Carvalhais
Reserva Red - Dão DOC

The excellent bouquet and flavour of Quinta dos Carvalhais Reserva 2002 are the result of the selection of two outstanding vine varieties, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. Touriga Nacional gives the wine floral aromas, structure, colour and firm and elegant tannins. Tinta Roriz provides it with intense fruit and a strong bouquet. The whole complements itself harmoniously, giving rise to a rich and complex wine that expresses all the potential of the Dão region for the production of great reserve wines.

Serving suggestion:
Quinta dos Carvalhais Reserva is ideal with fine meat, game and intense cheeses. With a long ageing in the bottle (over 4/5 years), it is natural that it should develop a deposit and it ought to be decanted for better enjoyment. Once open the bottle should be drunk on the same day. A large glass should be used, so that the wine may aerate and open up. Ideal temperature: 15ºC – 17º C.
